Super 2 Series leader Bryce Fullwood has extended his Dunlop Super2 Series lead with a race win and the overall round win at Queensland Raceway today.

The #16 MW Motorsport Nissan Altima was in great form again, qualifying third and finishing Race 1 in second place behind Thomas Randle.

In Sunday’s race, Fullwood sat behind Randle for the first 18 laps before making a move for the lead at Turn 3.
The Middy’s-backed driver held onto the spot for the remaining laps and finished 1.6608 seconds clear.

Zane Goddard battled with illness over the weekend, but was able to show strong pace.

Goddard was quickest in Friday practice, qualified sixth for the first race but was handed a five second penalty in the race after a clash with MWM team-mate Tyler Everingham on lap two. He would be classified in 11th.

Goddard got spun around in Race 2 by Jack Perkins, which saw the latter cop a 15 second penalty for his error. The clash cost Goddard a top 10 result, however, he ultimately retained second place in the title chase.

Everingham enjoyed his most competitive race weekend of the 2019 Super2 Series, battling in and around the top 10 consistently.

The young gun qualified and finished seventh in Race 1, despite the contact with Goddard, and in Race 2, solidified his improved performances with a strong eighth place.

The next round of the Dunlop Super2 Series will be held at Mount Panorama in October.
