Bryce Fullwood will start the opening Dunlop Super2 Series race at the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 from ARMOR ALL Pole after shading Jordan Boys late in qualifying.

The MW Motorsport driver’s final run in the session yielded a 1:08.1697s, which proved 0.1692s clear of next-best Boys.

It marks Fullwood’s second pole for the season and Boys’ best grid start of his career, with a previous best of 10th and a season-best of 11th at Perth.

Fullwood topped the timesheets in Friday practice with a record-breaking lap and improved in qualifying, 0.0533 seconds quicker than his best from yesterday.

“It’s taken me quite a while to get one, I felt like I’ve been so close leading up to Bathurst and then obviously awesome to get another one straight off the back of Bathurst,” Fullwood said.

“Huge credit to the guys at MW Motorsport, the car has been an absolute rocket ship this season and I was fairly happy with my lap then, and absolutely stoked to come away fastest.”
